Hmm... well, my first semester at SOSU is coming to a close very soon. Overall I liked it. It's quite different from the two years I spent at a little community college -- much less like high school than my first two years of college for sure. It has definitely kept me busy, and I have met some interesting people in the process.
To wrap the semester up, I have an 8-page research paper for my Critical Approaches to Literature class due Thursday, and I haven't even started on it. Some things really never change. I have a demo tape to record for Audio Production (which I'll do tomorrow), and a final exam in Audio Production that has to be done by the 14th. I think I'll get that out of the way tomorrow though.
Most importantly, five days from now, I will travel 5 hours to see Leaves' Eyes live/meet them. That is undoubtedly going to be one of the most amazing moments of my life. Leaves' Eyes NEVER comes to America, so it'll be well worth the long drive.
So there's my update... life is alright, and will get much better once the semester officially ends... |

Life has been making even less sense than usual. One second I'm thrilled, the next I'm pissed. And deep down, I know that all this chaos can be tracked down to a couple of sources: college, which has been keeping me ridiculously busy and ridiculously stressed, and of course him.
I don't understand him at all. Or anyone really.
But yeah... Theatre Of Tragedy rules.. I don't know what I'd do without music... |

So my mother's uncle lost his battle with lung cancer. May he rest peacefully. I'll miss him very much.
Honestly, I've had death on my mind A LOT lately, and the concept of it scares the hell out of me. And every time someone close to me -- or even in the case of a stranger sometimes -- dies, I vow that I'll really start living and stop taking every little thing for granted.
It works for about a week, then I'm back to my old ways of impatience, getting aggravated by the tiniest hindrances, and being a bitch to anyone and everyone who I cross paths with.
I have a lot of contemplation to do.
On a much lighter note, I finally picked up Down's Nola today. I got Seether's One Cold Night CD/DVD set too. So we can call it purchases-of-albums-by-bands-with-hot-motherfucking-vocalists day. Sounds good. |

I haven't posted here for ages. As if anyone wants an update -
- I did meet Korn on December 19...3/4 of them, anyway. After waiting outside in the cold for three hours, we were all informed that Jonathan Davis consumed poisonous tacos, became ill, and couldn't make it. Fuck.
- I got a new portable CD player for Christmas. Believe me, it's far more exciting than it sounds.
- 2006 hasn't been that great for me so far, but that will soon change.
- I'm only taking ONE class on campus this semester - World Lit. 2. My other three classes, you ask? ALL ONLINE! What a perfect excuse to spend more time on this brain-eating machine known as the computer.
- I'm so addicted to Sevendust and Within Temptation lately. Everyone should listen to them.
- The Disturbed show, and meet-and-greet, is in FOUR DAYS.
- I have absolutely no idea what to say or do. But I'll post pics when it happens. A picture says 1,000 words, they say.
- Oh, and my birthday's in ... 24 days! |

The mere thought of final exams makes me physically ill.
First of all - it's no secret that I'm a complete and absolute IDIOT. Here it is, the night before my Government exam, and I haven't studied at all.
Looks like I won't be getting any sleep tonight.
And I'm really, really hoping that I didn't get a D in Earth Science Lab. I haven't done any precise calculations (I'm too chicken shit to do that, because I'd probably get a number in the 60s and that would make me have a mental breakdown), but in my head, it seems like the number should be riding around late 60s or early 70s.
I mean -- we took 6 or 7 quizzes in there. I made 80's on all of 'em except one that I made a 20 on. So whatever that kind of number that creates will be my grade. Probably not very pretty.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFuck.
On a much happier note...8 more days. |
